Vintage Fiesta Figure 8 Tray

Vintage Fiestaware figure 8 tray

The success of the fiestaware line during those first few years was undoubtably surprising. In celebration the Homer Laughlin China Company kicked off a promotional campaign at the beginning of 1940. One of roughly 7 sets developed for the campaign included the fabulous figure 8 tray, sugar and creamer set.

The standard colors for the set were a yellow individual creamer and sugar on a dark cobalt blue base. It is speculated that red creamers and turquoise figure 8 trays were special orders since there are far fewer of those colors on those shapes to be found. The figure 8 tray in dark blue will often be found marked with the glaze stamp "GENUINE fiesta HLC USA", but the stamp will be hard to see on the dark blue. See all promotional campaign items »
