The success of the fiestaware line during those first few years was undoubtably surprising. In celebration the Homer Laughlin China Company kicked off a promotional campaign at the beginning of 1940. One of roughly 7 sets developed for the campaign included the fabulous figure 8 tray sugar and creamer set.
The standard colors for the set were a yellow individual creamer and sugar on a dark cobalt blue base. It is speculated that red creamers and turquoise figure 8 trays were special orders since there are far fewer of those colors on those shapes to be found. The sugars and creamers will be marked from the mold on the bottom. All to often the lids are missing on the sugars, so finding a complete example is a treat. See all promotional campaign items »
