By the time you get to the number three vintage fiesta mixing bowl you have a pretty useful and common sized kitchen bowl, measuring 6 3/4" wide and 4 1/2" tall, this is the bowl you reach for to whisk a couple of eggs or measure out some ingredients for a small batch of biscuits. This handy size has made the number three fiesta bowl harder to find than many of the others. They were simply used and used some more and as accidents happen, many of them did not survive. It is a real treat to find a number 3 bowl in excellent condition and collectors will cherish adding them to their collections.
Number Three: 6 3/4" wide x 4 1/2" tall
In the mold mark "HLC USA" or in the mold mark "MADE IN USE" or in the mold mark with HLC icon followed by "fiesta/MADE IN THE USA", occassionally found with the glaze stamp "genuine FIESTA" and sometimes found with both an impressed in the mold mark with the glaze stamp applied over the inmold mark. All bowls will have their numbers inscribed in the bottom although these numbers can often be hard to make out.
Circa 1936-1944: Made in the first six original colors only. From the Fall of 1942 to Spring 1944 bowls were only made in one color per size as follows: Number one (red), number two (yellow), number three (green), number 4 (ivory), number five (yellow), number six (turquoise) and number seven (cobalt/blue).
