Inside bottom rings date the bowl from their initial release in 1936 until early 1938 when the labor intesnsive rings which were etched into the bottom of the bowls by hand on what is called a jiggering machine, were removed. This extra hand work was time intensive and in order to speed up production, Homer Laughlin China Company looked for as many ways as possible to speed up manufactioning. These earliest bowls will be marked "HLC USA", while later bowls will be smooth on the inside bottom and marked "Fiesta/MADE IN USA".
Number Two: 6" wide x 4" tall
In the mold mark "HLC USA" or in the mold mark "MADE IN USE" or in the mold mark with HLC icon followed by "fiesta/MADE IN THE USA", occassionally found with the glaze stamp "genuine FIESTA" and sometimes found with both an impressed in the mold mark with the glaze stamp applied over the inmold mark. All bowls will have their numbers inscribed in the bottom although these numbers can often be hard to make out.
