Originally produced in all six original colors, during the Fall of 1942 each size would be offered in only one color: #7 cobalt, #6 turuqoise, #5 yellow, #4 ivory, #3 green, #2 yellow and #1 red. By the spring of 1944 the fiesta mixing bowls were discontinued. Finding examples with inside bottom rings date the bowl to early 1938, and will be marked "HLC USA", later bowls will be smooth on the inside bottom and marked "Fiesta/MADE IN USA". Each bowl will have its size number molded on the outside bottom, although these marks maybe hard to see at times, molds wore down and glazes were thick, making the marks sometimes quite illegible. The number one bowl is of course the smallest of them all and is most commonly found in red, but is difficult to find in any color, especially in collector quality condition.
Number One: 5" wide x 3 1/2" tall
In the mold mark "HLC USA" or in the mold mark "MADE IN USE" or in the mold mark with HLC icon followed by "fiesta/MADE IN THE USA", occassionally found with the glaze stamp "genuine FIESTA" and sometimes found with both an impressed in the mold mark with the glaze stamp applied over the inmold mark. All bowls will have their numbers inscribed in the bottom although these numbers can often be hard to make out.
Circa 1936-1944: Made in the first six original colors only. From the Fall of 1942 to Spring 1944 bowls were only made in one color per size as follows: Number one (red), number two (yellow), number three (green), number 4 (ivory), number five (yellow), number six (turquoise) and number seven (cobalt/blue).
