By the time you get to the number six bowl you are really getting into the large size versions of the seven piece vintage fiesta nesting bowl set. With only one more bowl larger in the set, the number six feels like it might just be big enough for everything. While many other vintage kitchen bowls measure beyond the number six's 9 3/4" width, it is the unique shape of the fiesta bowl that makes them so usable and seem so much larger than their competotors counterparts. Tall thin walls and an enlarged belly give the cook plenty of room to mix and whisk to their hearts content. Finding the number six bowls in excellent condition is still not easy. They were meant to be used. Luckily for lovers of the great turquoise glaze, this was the color the number six was made in for the last year of the bowls production.
Number Six: 9 3/4" wide x 6 1/4" tall
In the mold mark "HLC USA" or in the mold mark "MADE IN USE" or in the mold mark with HLC icon followed by "fiesta/MADE IN THE USA", occassionally found with the glaze stamp "genuine FIESTA" and sometimes found with both an impressed in the mold mark with the glaze stamp applied over the inmold mark. All bowls will have their numbers inscribed in the bottom although these numbers can often be hard to make out.
Circa 1936-1944: Made in the first six original colors only.
